The bookend Great Sphinx of Tanis is an interpretation of the Sphinx found among the ruins in the Temple of Amun-Re at Tanis (Egypt) in 1825. The Sphinx symbolizes the close relationship between the sun god through the lion’s body and the king with the human head.
This bookend is part of the range of creations specially designed for the french public cultural establishment Réunion des musées nationaux - Grand palais (Rmn-Gp) that manages 35 museums, events and exhibitions all over France.
